![]() ![]() As they flew, the engines made a distinctive sound, leading the English to call them “buzz bombs.” Allied pilots gradually learned techniques for downing some of the missiles, and with the introduction of artillery shells equipped with the “proximity fuze,” (a tiny radar set on an artillery shell) by late 1944, London was well-protected from V1 buzz bombs. When they fail to work, they either only expand part of the snippet (i.e., they don't insert all of the text in the snippet), or instead of expanding the snippet, they just paste whatever is currently on the clipboard. The craft could be seen flying in at low altitudes from a distance of many miles, but they were so fast that anti-aircraft guns could rarely hit them. I've been having problems with snippets not working intermittently. The V1 was first launched in the summer of 1944, and over the next several months thousands of the missiles were directed toward London. It was about 29 feet (almost nine meters) in length and weighed almost 5,000 pounds (2,300 kilograms). This missile, developed by engineer Robert Lisserr, used a special kind of jet engine and relied on a mechanical type of “autopilot” for guidance. The German government began supporting rocket research in 1932, believing rockets could be used as weapons, and by 1941 German scientists were testing a missile called the Vergeltungswaffe 1 (Vengeance 1). A joke from start to finish.Īt the outbreak of World War II, German experimenter Wernher von Braun and others had already been working toward rockets for space exploration. Shooting for 1 star this time, just to see what happens. ![]() Trying to submit another rating with this review. For some reason, the rating mysteriously disappears every time and only the review remains… unlike all 5 stars ratings, perfect score that this joke of an app still enjoys somehow. Not holding my breath. On a side note, I have submitted 2 1/2 star for Rocket Typist. I just sent him yet another message requesting a refund. Needless to say, still zero answer from the developer. It’s *you* who should be ashamed to dare charge people for such a useless product, Witt Software. ocket Typist if a is half-assed and half baked. Since iCloud sync results in missing abbreviations and/or snippet text, it wouldn’t surprise me if export was just as bad. I didn’t care to check whether the lucky 13 were entirely exported. And like with iCloud sync, only a fraction of your snippets actually get exported. ROCKET TYPIST MAC SNIPPETS NOT WORKING MANUALiCloud synchronization is useless, but at least you can export snippets manually, right? WRONG.When you attempt a manual export, the app - you guessed it - crashes. ![]()
